All-in-one machines (commonly described as multi-functional devices) offer photocopying, scanning, and printing in one machine – hence the name.
About 95% of all photocopiers are now multi-functional devices and 60% of these even allow users to fax as well (although on most models a fax facility can be added). Most MFDs will also provide stapling, hole punching, saddle stitching and sorting (also known as finishing).
MFDs take up less room - for obvious reasons - than separate standalone photocopiers, printers, scanners and fax machines.
For many businesses and organisations, MFDs offer convenience and a very viable and effective solution to their needs.
Customers wanting a budget machine, though, can still purchase a photocopier as a standalone machine.
